Alexander Ray Singletary, 73, of Chadbourn, NC, died Monday, May 6, 2024, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was retired from the Columbus County Sheriff Department.
The funeral will be 12:00 PM Saturday, May 11, at Brunswick-Waccamaw Baptist Headquarters, 600 Pinelog Road, Whiteville, NC, by Dr. Timothy A. Lance, eulogist. Burial will be in the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery #2.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the Headquarters Friday 30 minutes prior to and following the service.
Surviving are his wife, Glenins Bellamy Singletary; children, Temika Singletary of Albemarle, NC, Aaron Cunningham of Whiteville, and Alexander Singletary, Jr. of Chadbourn, NC; sister, Barbara Yates-Lockamy of Whiteville; brothers, Cornell Singletary and Danny Singletary of Whiteville, Reggie Singletary of Burlington, NC, and Rodney Singletary of Chadbourn, NC.
