February 7, 1935 ~ May 7, 2024 (age 89)
Rev. John Henry Guyton, 89, of Clarkton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.
John was born on February 7, 1935, son of the late William Henry “Frank” Guyton and Gladys White Guyton. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Ruth McKee Guyton; son, Dale Guyton and his daughter, Carolyn Delane Guyton Garrell.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024 at Worthington Funeral Home with Reverend Ray Brown, Reverend Charlie Tatum and Reverend Randy Clark officiating. . Interment will follow in the Clarkton Presbyterian Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. prior to the service.
He is survived by a son, John M. Guyton of Bladenboro; two granddaughters, Allison Garrell Oates ( Jake) and Clarissa Garrell Stanley (Jon); two great-grandchildren, Olivia Kate Oates and Lincoln Ray Oates.
