Wade Ray Nobles, 87, of the China Grove Community in Chadbourn, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2024, at Worthington Funeral Home, with burial to follow in the Ward Station Church of God Cemetery; Pastor Bobby Cartrette will be officiating.
The visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
Wade was born on June 2, 1936, son of the late Ethell and Dortha Ward Nobles. In addition to his parents, Wade was also preceded in death by his siblings, Clare Durden, Maude Nealey, Anna Belle Soles, Inez Long, Gertrude Weary, Cliff Nobles, Leroy Nobles, Lean Nobles, Mable Batten, and Emory Nobles.
Wade is survived by two sisters, Eloise N. Williams of the home; Lucy N. Penny of Cerro Gordo; brothers, Joe Nobles of Lexington and Murray Nobles of Thomasville; host of loving nieces and nephews.
