Dalton “Delton” Eugene Young, 57, of Wilmington and formerly of the St. James Community of Lake Waccamaw, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center in Wilmington.
Dalton was born on November 2, 1966 in Columbus County to the late Oree Columbia Young and Marie Columbus Webb. He was also preceded in death by siblings Jimmy and Betty Young.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday June 9, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Lake Waccamaw with Pastor Curt D. Locklear and Pastor Arthur Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Memorial Cemetery.
The family will speak to friends from 2:00-2:45 p.m. on Sunday, at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Keresa Young of the home; children, Raven Young of Lake Waccamaw, Kynesha Anderson, Makiah Young, and Makayla Young all of Wilmington; siblings, Patricia Smith (Pastor Arthur Smith) of Lake Waccamaw, Melba Russ of Jacksonville, FL, David Young (Angelique) of Clinton, Allen Young of Clinton, Alice Simmons of Clinton, Phillip Young (Isabella) and Kenneth Young all of San Antonio, TX; 3 grandchildren Kari Robinson, Karter Peele, and Ci’mani Keith-Payne.
