Mary Leona Barr McDevitt, 82, of Nakina, met her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at her residence.
Mary was born on February 25, 1942, daughter of the late George W. Barr and Sadie L. Coburn Barr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Vincent McDevitt; son, William Glenn McDevitt; daughter, Angel Dawn Marera.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2024, at Nakina Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Roger Coffey officiating. She will be interred in Nebo, NC.
The surviving family includes her son, Vincent McDevitt (Carol); grandchildren, Christopher McDevitt, Nathan McDevitt (Morgan), Maria Marera; great-grandchildren, Connor McDevitt, Parker McDevitt, and Quinn McDevitt; sister, Nancy Shaner; and many loving nieces and nephews.
