We trust that each of you had a wonderful time at the N.C. Yam Festival! The weather was absolutely perfect for a fall festival and we are so grateful for that.
The Yam Festival organizers wanted us to say thank you to all for supporting and attending this year’s festival.
As with any event that large, a few hiccups are expected. As always, the festival organization deals with those to make the participants and visitors experience as great as possible.
Now that the 55th NC Yam Festival has come and gone, your Greater Tabor City Chamber of Commerce turns its focus to Small Business Saturday and to holiday events.
The Fourth Annual Christmas Crafts Fair and the Second Annual Shop Our Stores events will take place on Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28. Please give us a call to get registered as a vendor.
We are also working on a list of the businesses that will be participating in Shop Our Stores. These events did well together last year, so we will be running those on the same day again this year. Please call us for more information. 910.377.3012 or 910.840.0292
Be sure to plan on attending the Town of Tabor City’s Annual Christmas Parade on Thursday, Dec. 3. This parade has grown into one of the largest we are aware of in our area. It’s spectacular! Call Tabor City Promotions at the Visitor Center for more details. 910.653.9712 or 653.4141. Save that number because that is also the place to call for information regarding ice skating.
As soon as the Christmas Parade ends, please join us for the Annual Lighting of the Christmas Tree. More detailed information will be in our next column on Nov. 18.
Mark your calendars for Friday, Dec. 4 for the Seventh Annual Cookie Crawl. This event comes with all the Hallmark holiday feels. Again, check back here on Dec. 18 for more details.
We will again sponsor the Trim a Tree Christmas Decorating Contest so get started decorating now and show our residents, shoppers, and visitors what your holiday spirit looks like! Call 910.377.3012 to enter. Judging will begin after sunset on Tuesday, Dec. 15. We want to see all those clear twinkling lights, Christmas trees, and more. Show up and show out, please!
Welcome to our new business member addition, Christine M. Padilla, Real Estate Broker, “Deals in Heels”. Please give Christine a call at 267.407.8958 to discuss your specific needs. We are excited to have Christine as a new member.
Also welcome to our new member, Kevin Fowler. Kevin is a new associate member. He is the Chief of Police at our Tabor City Police Department. We are happy to have our Police Chief as a member.
If you or your business would like to become a member, please give us a call at 910.377.3012.
