Vera Elizabeth McLeod, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was born in Cumberland County to the late Joe Weaver Cashwell and Armelia Horne Cashell on November 27, 1930. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death earlier this year by her husband, T. Bragg McLeod.
Vera worked as a bookkeeper for 50 years with Edmac Trucking and Sales.
She is survived by her two daughters; Elizabeth Ann Callahan (Neal) of Lake Waccamaw, and Carol Sue Creighton (Roy) of Raleigh, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for a later date.
