The crew installing high speed internet lines at Lake Waccamaw broke a water main on Old 74 this morning, causing a water outage, according to the town.
The affected areas include James Avenue, Bingham Lane, Fire Tower Road, and East Columbus High school, a notice from the town said.
Customer in the affected area are advised to boil water used for human consumption for at least one minute as a precaution.
