Vickie Jae Shaw Williamson, age 69 of Evergreen, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Vickie was born on January 17, 1953, in Columbus County, to the late Walter Council Shaw and Marguerite Floyd Shaw; she was also preceded in death by her sister, Beth Shaw Johnson.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the Evergreen Cemetery, with Pastor Ricky Donaldson officiating.
Vickie was a graduate of West Columbus High School, Class of 1971 and a graduate of UNCP. Upon her graduation from college, Vickie taught at Evergreen Elementary School for 30 years, primarily in the Special Education Department, retiring in 2003; Mrs. Williamson was a lifelong member of Evergreen Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, J. Wayne Williamson of the home; children, Shawna W. Williams (Mike) of Ocean Isle Beach, Walter L. Williamson (Jessica) of Chadbourn; grandchildren, Seth Williams, Channing Williamson, and Jean-Aubrey Williamson.
