Billy Wayne Allen, age 72 of Chadbourn, passed away suddenly on Monday morning, February 14th, 2022, at his home.
Billy was born on August 29, 1949, in Columbus County, to the late Wilber Auty Allen and Rachel Boswell Allen. He was also preceded in death by one sibling, Richard Allen.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In his earlier years, Bill was an active member and Elder at Chadbourn Presbyterian Church. Bill was a veteran of the US Army, having served in Germany from 1967-1969; He retired from DuPont/Leland after 30 years of service.
Billy leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Joy White Allen; children, Quinn Allen of Chadbourn, Sara Allen Newcomb (Chris) of Sanford. He was a loving PaPa to three grandchildren, Landen (LB) Allen, Avery Allen, and Macie Kate Newcomb; siblings, Patricia “Pat” Hilburn (Lamar Hilburn) of Fair Bluff, Phillip Allen (Geneva) of Little River, SC.
