Roger Dale Powell age 66 of Cerro Gordo passed on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
Final rites will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022, at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Chris Inman and Pastor Mack Watts officiating. Interment will follow in the Gowan Cemetery, Cerro Gordo.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Worthington Funeral Home on Thursday.
He was the husband of the late, Maggie Thomas Powell who preceded him in 2006 and the son of the late Roscoe Ballard Powell and Willadene Roberts Powell.
He is survived by two daughters, Amanda Powell Smith (Kevin) of Chadbourn and Kimberly Powell Price (Eric) of Chadbourn; sisters, Melinda P. Horton (Ronnie) of Castle Hayne, Dottie Mizelle (late-Steve) of Colerain and Jeanette P. Johnson (Late-Joel) of Greenville; six grandchildren, Ashton Price, Nicholas Powell, Jacob Smith, Georgianna Smith, Michael Price, and Karmen Price; and many loving nieces and nephews.
