Here’s today’s Bottom Line

High pressure ridging will continue to bring above average temperatures through Saturday. Our warmest day is expected to be Friday, with highs pushing into the lower 80s.

A little “backdoor front” will approach the area for Saturday leading to more cloudiness and slightly cooler temps (but still warmer than normal). We’ll be in the upper 70s during the day.

Halloween festivities should feature partly to mostly cloudy skies (but dry) with temps falling through the 60s during the evening hours.

I am continuing to monitor the chance of rain later Sunday afternoon into
midday Monday, and then another potential for rain in the middle part of next week. Focusing on the Sunday and Monday period, there still remains a bit of ensemble model spread. Specifically, the machine-learning ensemble guidance continues to be on the dry side, while wetter ensemble solutions show a more developed low tracking through and thus better rain chances. But even given that,
the spread in rainfall is still large, ranging from just a trace to three quarters of an inch. We’re just going to have to wait until we get closer to the weekend to see what the solutions hone in on.

Either way, it’s not going to be drought-busting rain by any means.
