The East Columbus High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) is literally selling the fruits of their labor this year.
The horticulture chapter will host a plant and BBQ plate sale Saturday to raise money for the organization. The East Columbus FFA Chapter promotes premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through classroom instruction and community involvement.
There will be a multitude of vegetation available for purchase at the event. Flower lovers and gardeners alike will have their choice of lantana, verbena, coleus, marigolds, zinnias, sweet potato vine, strawberries, hanging baskets, vegetables, and much more. BBQ plates will also be up for grabs. You can purchase a pre-sale ticket at the high school, or you buy one the day of the sale. All plates include barbecue, green beans, yams, a roll, and a beverage. The cost is $8.
The fundraiser will be from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at East Columbus High School, 32 Gator Lane in Lake Waccamaw. Follow the signs around the building to get to the event.
