Esther Ray Smith Tyler, age 77, of Hallsboro, NC died Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Lower Cape Fear LifeCare’s Angel House, Whiteville, NC. She was born May 23, 1944 in Brunswick County to the late Cosby and Versie Smith. Also, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Smith, Vollie Smith and Elray Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Douglas Wayne Tyler of the home; her daughter, Pamela Schilz of Jamestown, MO; her brothers, Bobby Smith and J.B Smith both of Shallotte; and her sister, Dora Blackman of Lake Waccamaw, NC.
The family will receive family and friends Monday, April 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM in the Hallsboro Baptist Church.
Her memorial service will be held Monday, April 25, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Hallsboro Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Lewis officiating.
