Sarah Margaret Long, 77, passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at Columbus Regional Healthcare Systems in Whiteville. Sarah was born March 11, 1945 in Paterson, NJ, the daughter of the late John Burton and Helen Bishop Burton.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby Morris Long Jr. of Nakina, Randy Lee Long and wife Joanne of Whiteville, and Christopher Alan Long of Nakina; four grandchildren, Bobby Eugene Long, Leah Alexandra Long, Amber M. Ingram and husband Nick, and Brittany Chrisa Long; one great-grandchild, Chloe Makaye Kapalka.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, Bobby Morris Long, Sr.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at Long Cemetery on Pine Level Church Rd, Nakina, directed by Inman Ward Funeral Home and Crematory of Tabor City with Pastor Roger Coffey officiating.
