Michael Ann Williamson 59, according to God’s Master plan, left this earth to make the transition to her place in heaven on July 10, 2022. There she will be reunited with her parents Mack and Ethelene Williamson.
She is survived by her beloved pets Max, Marly, & Elle, her loving companion Michael Pridgen and hundreds of family members and friends that were touched by her countless ways throughout her lifetime.
As a lover of people and animals, she never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything. She was a “wicked smart”, stubborn and opinionated, strong, and loving woman that made the world a better place by not only being in it, but by being selfless towards helping others regardless of their situation.
She was a native of Whiteville, NC, a graduate of the University of North Carolina and was a die-hard UNC Tar Heel fan. She loved sports, loved Penn’s Grill in Whiteville, was an avid reader, and her happy place was most definitely the beach!!! She enjoyed giving advice to young people regarding their careers.
She had a successful career in the financial industry in North Carolina, Florida, and Arizona before ultimately retiring and returning home to Whiteville in 2016. Her impact on this world will be forever felt as even in her final hours, she continued to work her magic by connecting people that came together because of their common love for Michael Ann and they left with new friendships.
A memorial service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Washburn officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to: Sarcoma Foundation of America ,www.curesarcoma.org, your local Animal Shelter or to the University of North Carolina- Chapel Hill.
