Darlene Abigail “Abbie” Highfill Soles age 71, of Chadbourn went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
She was a native of Guilford County and the daughter of the late Eugene Highfill and Lera Jackson Highfill. She was preceded in death by a son, Darrel Soles and a great-granddaughter, Abigail Rose Blackwell.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Darrell Hooker officiating. Interment will follow in the Ward Station Church of God Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, at the funeral home.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Isaac Soles of the home; two daughters, Donna Soles Blackwell (Timothy) of Chadbourn and Kristie Soles Spivey (Greg) of Cerro Gordo; four siblings, Karen Highfill Newsom (Donnie) of Trinity, Gary Highfill of Thomasville, Kim Highfill (Janet) of Thomasville and Billy Highfill (Joannie) of Lexington; five grandchildren, Heather Michelle Blackwell, Devon Ray Blackwell (Sierra), Joseph Monroe Blackwell (Erica), Gregory Dylan Spivey (Taylor), and Megan Rachelle Spivey; nine great-grandchildren, Nathan, Joseph Jr., Brianna, Trenton, Jeyson, Greyson, Kenzi, Rosanna, and Alexander.
