March 8, 1936 ~ October 29, 2023 (age 87)
Rena Jane Jacobs 87, of the Buckhead community, Bolton passed on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at her home. She was born March 8, 1936 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Manley Jacobs and Geneva Freeman Jacobs. She was the widow of the late Archie Jacobs.
She is survived by sons, Archie Ray Jacobs (Sherry) and Robin Jacobs (Rhonda); sister, Carlene Allen; grandchildren, Eric Jacobs (Crystal), Crystal Coyle (William), Derek Jacobs, Ethan Jacobs, Jennifer Dorman, Brittany Dorman; great grandchildren, Rianna Graham, Landon Coyle, Gracie Coyle, Dillan Cartrette, Jase Dorman, Taylor Cartrette, Bristol Jacobs, Creed Canady, Annalee Jacobs, Callen Jacobs along with a host of neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; two sisters, Videll White and Etta Bea Melton; three brothers, William Allen Jacobs, Billy Jacobs and Carson Jacobs.
She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, where she was the secretary for over 40 years.
Her funeral service will be 2:00 pm Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023 at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Don Carter officiating.
Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 pm Saturday prior to her service in the church.
