Young farmers, or anyone 8-18 with an interest in farming, can find out more about livestock production at a meeting Jan. 16.
Cooperative Extension is hosting a youth livestock interest meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at the Columbus County Extension Office in Whiteville. The meeting is from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at 45 Government Complex Drive, Whiteville.
“We want to meet young individuals who are passionate about livestock and keen to expand their knowledge and skills,” Rebecca Benton said in asocial media post. Benton and Aaron Blackmon are organizing the meeting.
Youth can learn about livestock production, judging, skills and knowledge competitions, and more offered through the 4H program.
