Alma Fannie Connor Harrelson, 101, of Lake Waccamaw, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 22, 2024, while in the Lower Cape Fear Angel House in Whiteville.
Alma was born on July 17, 1922, daughter of the late Joel Hiram Connor and Lula Hammond Connor. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Dean Harrelson, who preceded her in 1964; children, Rodney Harrelson, Douglas Wayne Harrelson, infant daughter, Alma Dean Harrelson; siblings, Edgar Quincy Connor, Betty Connor, Hiram “Berkely” Connor, Snowie Connor, Pauline Connor, John Doc Connor, Mary Lee Connor, and Martha Connor Jones; grandson, Bryon Harrelson.
Graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Ronnie Wilson officiating.
The surviving family includes two grandchildren: Courtney H. Graham (Walker) of Cary, LaDonna H. Stoll (John Philip) of Whiteville; three great-grandchildren: Ethan Stoll, Wesley Stoll, Alexander Stoll; daughter-in-law, Reva Harrelson of Whiteville.
