Jeanette Cribb Nobles, 82, of Chadbourn, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville.
Jeanette was born on June 23, 1942, daughter of the late Jewell Drestell Cribb and Scottie Ann Cribb. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Roosevelt Nobles; siblings, William “W.K” Cribb, Myrtie Todd, Grady Cribb, Wadis Cribb, and Brenda Tompkins.
Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024, at the Gowan Cemetery (950 Page Mill Road, Cerro Gordo) with Reverend Jim Skinner
officiating.
Jeanette graduated from Southeastern Community College in 1975, earning her degree in cosmetology. Following her graduation, Jeanette began her cosmetology career at Robin’s Hair Designers. She transitioned into owning and operating her own beauty salon, retiring after 30 years of service.
The surviving family includes two children, Donna Nobles DeMoss (Jeffrey) of Whiteville, Danny R. Nobles of Wilmington; siblings, Gertie Nobles of Hope Mills, Marie Cheshire of Wilmington, Belinda Brown (Alex) of Whiteville, Roger Cribb of Clarkton; grandchildren, Hannah Grace DeMoss, Ryan DeMoss (Sarah); great-grandchildren, Jackson DeMoss, Gavin DeMoss.
