Two suspects have been arrested in the Dec. 26 shooting that damaged a home, storage building and car near Tabor City.
Treavon Ronderius Smith, 30, of 101 Sandy Place Dr., Tabor City was arrested Jan. 2. He was held under $100,000 secured bond on a single charged of firing into an occupied dwelling, according to detention center reports.
Shykeem Neman was arrested in Horry County on Jan. 8, where he also faces charges of felony fleeing to elude arrest and possession of a stolen firearm. The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office and Horry County Police worked together to capture Newman.
The sheriff’s office reported that deputies were called to Reynolds Road near Tabor City on the day after Christmas to a call about threats and gunfire at a home. Several people were inside at the time someone opened fire on the property, causing hundreds in damages. No one was injured, but fired casings and bullets were found inside and outside the home.
This case remains under active investigation, the sheriff’s office said in a press release, and additional charges are expected.
