A Sunday morning stabbing in Fair Bluff sent a man to jail and his son to the hospital.
James Earl Bostic, 63, of 2102 Main St., Fair Bluff, was held under no bond. He was charged with a single count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, inflicting serious injury, according to detention center records.

The sheriff’s office reported that deputies were called to the Bostic home at 9:15 a.m. Sunday.
The victim, Teren Josiah McKoy, 23, was transported to an area hospital. He is expected to recover.

Sheriff Bill Rogers said in a press release that patrol deputies secured the scene after ensuring the victim was receiving medical treatment, then called investigators. The weapon used in the alleged attack was found and secured as well.

Deputies were called to the town due to Fair Bluff Police currently being critically short staffed. Rogers said in the release that the CCSO has been providing assistance on calls in the town.
