Deputies extricated a toddler from a bathroom vent Tuesday after the child got stuck at a home on Georgia Pacific Road. The two year old’s mother called 911 just before 6 a.m. when the boy bent his leg inside the vent and couldn’t get out.
Traffic was backed up in Delco and one person was injured after a crash between a garbage truck and a tractor trailer this morning. The 18 wheeler was loaded with plywood and struck the garbage truck around 630 a.m. Both sides of US 74-76 were blocked for a time. Traffic has been restored to normal.
State Health Officials reported two pediatric flu deaths today, the first of the season. Health and Human Services is urging parents of eligible children to have their little ones vaccinated against the flu.
