Two youth suspects were cited for breaking and entering after allegedly exploring a local school used in a movie. The pair were spotted exiting the Acme Delco Middle cafeteria April 24, the sheriff’s office said. The 18 and 20 year old admitted that they broke into the school because it was used in the movie the Black Phone.
The driver of a speeding car stopped by deputies was allegedly impaired, with empty vodka bottles and drug residue alongside a young child who was not properly restrained Thursday. Kimberly Mitchell was arrested after driving more than 80 miles per hour on U.S. 74 near Chadbourn.
The State Board of Elections is coming under fire from voting watchdog groups for a new list of approved forms of voter IDs. The new list was released Friday, and includes cards issued by UNC schools, some private and public employers.
