SCC Southeastern Community College will hold its 2025 commencement exercise Friday, May 16, honoring the graduating class of 2025. The ceremony will be held outdoors on the front lawn of SCC, beginning at 9 a.m.
We’re excited to celebrate the achievements of our students and recognize the hard work, commitment, and perseverance that brought them to this moment.
Cap & Gown Pick-Up
Graduates who pre-ordered their cap and gown may pick them up from the Orcutt Bookstore between May 8–15, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Fridays. If you did not pre-order, you may still purchase your cap and gown during this time.
Graduation Packets: Wednesday, May 14
Graduation packets will be available for pick-up on May 14 in the Registrar’s Office (A-129) from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Each packet includes:
• Special guest tickets
• Honors recognition cords (if applicable)
• Name card for graduation day
Graduation Rehearsal: Thursday, May 15
Rehearsal will be held on Thursday, May 15, from 3-5 pm in the SCC Auditorium. Graduation packets not picked up on May 14 will be available from 8 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. that day.
Graduation Day Schedule: Friday, May 16
• 8 a.m.: Graduates report to the SCC Auditorium for line-up. Special guests report to reserved seating in front of A-Building.
• 8:45 a.m.: The graduation processional lineup will begin promptly.
• 9:00 a.m.: The graduation ceremony begins in front of the A-Building.
Rain Plan: In the event of rain, notifications will be sent out by text message and social media. The graduation ceremony will be held in the SCC Auditorium for graduates only.

Capture the Moment
Following the graduation ceremony, two designated photo spots will be available in front of A-Building. Guests are welcome to take photos at either location with their families and friends! Tag us and use hashtag #SCCGrad25 when you post your photos – we’d love to celebrate with you!
