Roger Owen Hammond, 75, of the Hinsons Crossroads Community of Fair Bluff, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at his residence.
Roger was born on April 10, 1950, son of the late Owen Hammond and Dorcas Thompson Hammond.
A private graveside service will be held at Meares Cemetery.
Roger was a lifelong member of Hinsons Crossroads Baptist Church, where he served in various roles over the years. Until his retirement, Roger worked as an automotive salesman.
The surviving family includes his loving wife, Rosa Soles Hammond of the home; son, Greg Hammond and wife, Wendy, of Bladenboro; daughter, Staci Hammond of Fair Bluff; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brother, Mark Hammond and wife, Sara, of Raleigh.
