Yard salers and resellers are now welcome at the Columbus Community Farmers Market.

The market’s primary focus is local produce, seafood, arts and crafts and other small business products, but after several requests,  the market is also opening its doors to yard salers.

“Come out to the farmers market Saturday and we will have a spot for you,” said Selena King of the market. “All you need is you tent and chairs.”

The market is always home to local honey and farm products, fresh baked goods, eggs, plants and bulbs, local nuts, poultry and fowl, and handcrafted items.

“If you can make it or grow it, you can sell it here,” King said.

The market is open every Saturday during the season. Special programs are held one Saturday each month. June 15 is Old Fashioned Farm Day, with games, music, the Market Bistro, and displays of vintage farm equipment and animals.

The popular Watermelon Day is July 13, and will feature free samples, contests and prizes, and fun for the whole family.
