Two parks in Chadbourn will officially open Thursday, after the threat of rain postponed today’s ribbon cuttings.
Wilkes Park at 689 South Wilkes Street and Our Park at 214 East First Avenue will have their debuts Thursday at 5:15 p.m. After opening Wilkes Park, town officials will move to Our Park for a ceremony.
Our Park has undergone a major renovation, and Wilkes Park is a new addition to the town.
