$4,000 of Corn Destroyed

Detectives are investigating after more than $4,125 of corn was destroyed near Whiteville.

The victim contacted the sheriff’s office June 12 after discovering the damage. Approximately three acres of unharvested corn was damaged and destroyed, the report said.

The investigation is continuing.
