Carol Louise Singletary, age 65, of the Oak Dale Community of Whiteville, NC died on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 in Columbus Regional Healthcare System, Whiteville, NC. She was born on March 28, 1960 to the late Garcie Clifton Nealy and Cathleen Blackwell Nealy.
She is survived by her son, Harold Dean Singletary, Jr; her siblings, Doris Hulon and her husband, Jerry, Jane Locklear and her husband, Roy, Linda Soles and Brenda Jernigan; her sister-in-law, Tina Nealy as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Singletary; her brothers, Larry Nealy and Jerry Nealy and her sister, Lucille Nealy; her brother-in-laws, Roger Soles and Johnny Jernigan.
Carol had a big heart and saw the good in everyone and was quick to pay compliments to everyone she saw. She loved her family, especially her son, Harold Dean. Carol loved to sing, she was known to always have a song in her heart and would often sing a special song at any church she visited.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 6, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of the Inman Ward Funeral Home, 300 E. 5th Street, Tabor City, NC 28463.
