Two individuals were shot at the Sawmill Apartments Friday evening (today), Whiteville Police said.
One of the patients was airlifted with critical injuries, according to WPD Chief Paul Rockenbach.
A large law enforcement presence was noted at Columbus Regional after the shooting, as is standard procedure.
The incident is under investigation.
