
Crack cocaine was seized and multiple felonies filed against a Whiteville area man afer an investigation into narcotics sales in and around Whiteville.
Tammy Tabor, 65, was held under $4,500 secured bond on charges of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver crack cocaine, conspiracy to sell and deliver cocaine, obtain controlled substances by fraud, destroying evidence, obtaining property by false pretenses, and maintaining a place for drug activities. He had addresses of Lewis Street, Bladenboro and in Whiteville, according to court documents.
Detectives were looking into complaints of drug sales at the Holiday Motel in Whiteville as well as Tabor City and Whiteville. For several weeks, detectives monitored several individuals suspected of participating in a drug sales.
On July 29, a press release said, detectives saw Tabor visiting the Holiday for drug transactions. He was taken into custody and found in possession of crack, the release said.
Detectives later executed a search warrant on his home, and found additional cocaine as well as paraphernalia used to package and prepare drugs for sale. Another raid on a home near Tabor City turned up still more cocaine.
The case is still under investigation, the release said, and additional arrests are anticipated.
