
A fugitive who has been wanted since 2023 is being held on multiple charges ranging from drugs and firearms violations to assault on a female.
Jasper Erwan Johnson, 26, of 1309 Clyde Norris Rd., Tabor City, faces charges of firing into an occupied vehicle, breaking, entering and larceny; possession of a firearm by a felon; property damage; maintaining a place for drug activities; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana; assault on a female and traffic violations. Detention Center reports show his bond was set at $317,000. The charges were from multiple incidents in multiple locations.
Vice/Narcotics Investigators and the Special Operations Unit located and arrested Johon Aug. 25, a press release said.
Sheriff Bill Rogers praised the SOU for its work in finding and arresting Johnson.
