Lake Waccamaw’s regularly scheduled board meeting has been postponed to Sept. 16 at 6:00 p.m.
Two men were jailed on drug charges after a traffic stop at Old Lumberton Road and U.S. 701 North. Johnnie Hall and Bradley Creech were arrested after complaints about speeding and suspicious activity in the area.
Thursday is the 24th anniversary of the terror attacks of September 11, 2001. A memorial service will be held at 8:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Park of America, 6354 James B. White Highway South, Whiteville. The public is welcome.
