Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Strong high pressure will dominate our weather into the weekend with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures.
A frontal boundary will drift through the area late Saturday or early Sunday, with another high pressure “wedge” building down from the northeast. This will bring cooler, cloudier weather and a chance for showers by the end of the weekend into next week.
TROPICS: Two areas of interest being monitored by the National Hurricane Center. The first will almost certainly become the next tropical depression within the next day or so (maybe even before the end of today). The area of low pressure is in an area very favorable for development.
Nearly all of the modeling has this ultimately staying safely out at sea through its life cycle, but will definitely be watching it.
The next system is just coming off the coast of Africa and is currently quite disorganized, but some slow development is possible by the weekend.
There are still no threats to the Carolinas over the next 10 days.
