Green Sea Woman Charged in Assault, Animal Deaths

A Green Sea woman allegedly starved four pit bull dogs to death and killed another dog, according to warrants.

Tangela Deloris George, 41, of 3470 Bay View Dr., Green Sea and 41 Phillips St., Fair Bluff,  was held on charges of simple assault, firing into an occupied dwelling, and five counts of animal cruelty. Her bond was set at $2,500, according to detention center reports.

Court documents show George struck Lasheda Green in the face with her hands in March. She then allegedly fired a handgun at Green while the victim was in an automobile. No injuries were reported.

The dogs were found starved to death at the Phillips Circle property in September 2022, according to warrants. The dogs were owned by George.
