Here’s today’s Bottom Line
Unseasonably warm conditions will prevail over the weekend. Sprawling high pressure to our south will push a southwesterly flow of warm and somewhat humid air into our area today. Expect highs in the mid 70s with a mix of sunshine and clouds.
Unseasonable warmth for tonight through Sunday ahead of a fairly strong… but dry… cold front passage later Sunday afternoon. Lows tonight won’t drop much below 60, with highs on Sunday reaching the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Gusty southwest winds will become established prior to the frontal passage, with a rather sudden wind shift to the west/northwest late Sunday afternoon into the evening hours with falling temps.
Monday will feature mostly sunny skies with cooler highs in the mid to upper 60s, actually where they should be for this time of year. I expect more in the way of cloudiness Tuesday and Wednesday as the front kind of lingers along the coast before dissipating. Weak high pressure then takes back control toward the end of the coming work week.
Rain chances remain nearly zero over the next 5-7 days.
