Daryl Davis and D’s Nutz of Elizabethtown took second place in the Boiled Peanut World Championship at Murrells Inlet, S.C. Nov. 16 at Suck, Bang, Blow Bar and Grill. All proceeds from the event go to Help4Kids and Backpack Buddies.
Daryl Davis stated he has been boiling peanuts for about 15 years now.\ “I was boiling peanuts with my friends at the house and Stuart Tedder was bragging on them, telling me they were so good that I need to sell them.
I said, ‘What would I call them? D’s Nutz?’ That’s how I got this hobby started.”
Daryl was excited about just competing in a huge event. “I hoped I would win, but it’s for a good cause.”
