Multiple child rape charges have been filed against a Clarkton man, according to the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office.
Jahmar Marquise Richardson, 40, of Clarkton was arrested Wednesday. He faces charges of statutory sex offense, sex acts by a substitute parent, indecent liberties with a child, and misdemeanor sexual battery. He also aces breaking and entering charges in Cumberland County. He is being held without bond, according to the BCSO.
Deputies were contacted Monday about a 13-year-old female who had been sexually assaulted, the BCSO reported. The child was interviewed by detectives and trained counselors with the Child Advocacy Center. Richardson allegedly groped the girl and forced her into sex acts while she was left in his care, according to warrants.
