West Bladen Boys 55, East Bladen 33

DUBLIN—Jamari Adams-Peterson and Jackson Pait scored 13 points each to lead West Bladen past county rival East Bladen 55-33 Wednesday night in boys’ basketball.

The win pushed the Knights record to 9-5 on the season. West Bladen took control of the game early and never looked back, leading 17-6 after the first quarter and 28-11 at the half. East Bladen (2-11) was led by Jaden Lewis with nine points. West Bladen will host Fairmont (1-0, 5-7) on Friday, when East Bladen will travel to Lakewood (1-0, 5-7).

East Bladen Girls 46, West Bladen 11

DUBLIN—East Bladen jumped out to a 27-0 lead on West Bladen Wednesday night as the Eagles crushed the Knights 46-11 in girls’ basketball.

Ariel Cromartie had 16 points to lead the Eagles (12-2) in scoring. It was the 30th straight victory for the Knights over West Bladen. The Eagles travel to Lakewood (3-1, 9-5) Friday (Jan. 16) for a Carolina Conference battle, while the Knights (0-1, 1-10) will host Fairmont (1-0, 12-1) in a Southeastern Conference game.

East Columbus Girls 51, Lakewood 26

LAKE WACCAMAW—East Columbus got off to a 19-4 start behind Malia Graham’s 31 points in defeating Lakewood Wednesday night 51-26 in girls’ basketball.

Graham also pulled down 14 boards while teammate Neveah Brown chipped in nine points and nine rebounds. The win pushes the East Columbus record to 3-1 in the Carolina Conference and 7-4 on the year. They will host Hobbton (0-4, 0-4) on Friday, when Lakewood (3-1, 9-5) will try to regroup against East Bladen (2-1, 12-2).
