The Annie Catherine Pridgen Community Development Foundation (ACP) is proud to announce the launch of the Barbara J. Brown Nursing Scholarship, a new $1,000 award designed to support North Carolina students pursuing a career in nursing.
The scholarship honors the life and legacy of Barbara J. Brown, a devoted nurse who served her community for nearly sixty years. Raised in Columbus County, North Carolina, Barbara’s life was defined by compassion, service, and an unwavering commitment to caring for others. This scholarship continues that legacy by helping aspiring nurses take the next step in their education and professional journey.
For the 2026 award cycle, one undergraduate nursing student will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship to support education-related expenses.
