ROSE HILL—Keyshawn Kemp put up 32 points and snatched 11 rebounds to propel East Bladen past East Columbus 68-61 on double overtime.
The upset put the fourth seeded Eagles (9-15) in the Carolina Conference Championship Game against the West Columbus/North Duplin winner on Friday at Union High School. East Columbus, the regular season co-champions, will have to await the 1A playoffs brackets to be announced to see when their next game shall be.
It was a nip and tuck game all the way with the Eagles defense coming up at the end, shutting out the Gators’ offense in the second overtime. East Columbus (11-10) was led by Kevon Stackhouse with 28 points and Rudy Jernigan added 14 points.

ROSE HILL—The third time was a charm as East Bladen held off East Columbus 46-44 in the Carolina Conference Semifinals on Wednesday night.
The Eagles lost twice to the Gators in the regular season and almost gave them the third win. The Eagles were leading 46-34 going into the fourth quarter but failed to score in the fourth quarter. East Bladen held on as the Gators could only muster 10 points in the fourth.
The Eagles (19-6) will face the North Duplin/Lakewood winner on Friday at Union High School for the tournament championship.
Sana’a Singletary led East Bladen with 13 points while teammate Niyah Wooten added 10 points in the victory. East Columbus (15-6) was led by Malia Graham with 27 points. The Gators will have to await the 1A pairings to be announced to await their next opponent in the playoffs.

BOILING SPRINGS—South Brunswick held the Lady Wolfpack to six first half points in a 48-27 defeat of Whiteville on Wednesday night in the Southeastern Conference Tournament semi-finals.
The Cougars (17-2) were led by Allison Bell, who put up 21 points for the night. Meryn Deutch added 13 points in the victory. South Brunswick will to Fairmont on Friday in the championship game.
Fairmont defeated South Columbus 77-14 on Wednesday night. Ceonna Dennis led the Wolfpack with 13 points. Whiteville (10-13) will await for the 3A playoffs to be announced to see who their next opponent will be.
