Here’s today’s Bottom Line:

A couple more unseasonably warm days… followed by a pretty strong cold front… followed by another short-lived warmup… followed by much colder temps (next week).

Temperatures may flirt with the 90-degree mark on Wednesday! These highs will break records across the area.

Cold front crosses the area around lunchtime on Thursday. As of right now the overall severe weather threat is rather low … but it will depend on how much sunshine occurs Thursday morning. If we get enough sunshine, that will work to destabilize the atmosphere, thereby increasing the threat for damaging winds with the frontal passage.

Behind the front, temperatures will fall fairly rapidly… such that by suppertime on Thursday we’ll be in the upper 50s.

Temps early Friday morning are likely to dip into the upper 30s… but I don’t think frost will be an issue. High temps Friday will be in the mid 60s, which is pretty much where we should be this time of year.

Temps rise back into the 70s over the weekend… it’s going to be a gorgeous weekend across the area.

The next strong cold front looks to cross the area sometime next Monday. This will usher in much colder temperatures … and the signals are fairly strong at overnight temps cold enough for a frost threat from March 17-20.
