Here’s today’s Bottom Line:
The weather for Friday the Thirteenth will hardly be as frightful as it was yesterday. While I’m glad to get a forecast correct, there were quite a few severe weather reports received by the National Weather Service.
Today’s weather will be much more benign. After a cold start, our highs this afternoon will actually be right at seasonable normal values — mid 60s.
Not quite as cold tonight with a more southerly flow of air… our lows will be in the mid 40s.
Saturday — GET OUT AND ENJOY IT! We will have as close to a perfect-10 as you can get. Chamber of Commerce conditions with bright sunshine and highs in the mid 70s. No complaints!!
Our next weather system approaches by Monday. This will be another King Cold Front with a bona fide severe weather threat which could make yesterday’s activity look relatively weak.
The Storm Prediction Center already has our area under a 15% to 29% risk for severe weather on Monday. This will DEFINITELY be something that needs to be monitored very carefully.
After the front comes a full-fledged FREEZE possibility, especially late Tuesday night into early Wednesday as temps drop to the upper 20s to around 30 degrees. Highs will struggle to reach the 50-degree mark on Tuesday, with lower 50s on Wednesday. Brrr.
