Here’s today’s Bottom Line:

There really isn’t much to talk about in today’s CCN Daily Weather Update!

Our drought conditions will continue to worsen over the next 5-7+ days as there is very little, if any, precipitation expected.

Temperatures today will be a good 10 degrees warmer than yesterday; temps on Friday will be about 10 degrees even warmer than that.

Then the bottom drops out as a strong cold front drops southeast over the area Friday night. This may trigger a few scattered showers, perhaps a rumble of thunder, but that’s not likely to amount to much.

Much cooler temps for Saturday as we’ll struggle to reach the upper 50s even under bright sunshine.

FROST POTENTIAL SATURDAY NIGHT: Temperatures will drop to the mid and upper 30s across the area, and at least patchy frost can be expected. I would imagine that frost advisories will be needed.

I believe this will be our final frost threat for the spring season as long-range modeling fails to show any substantial cold outbreaks going forward.
