Here’s today’s Bottom Line:
Welcome to the FRIDAY edition of the CCN Weather Update! It’s going to be a very warm day across the county on southwesterly winds … highs will reach the upper 80s to around 90.
A cold front will drop southeast over the area tonight. This might bring a few passing showers … maybe … perhaps if we’re lucky. But I doubt it. I’m going to put a 30% on the graphic but most of us won’t get much of anything.
Much colder temps on breezy north winds for your Saturday will keep highs pinned in the upper 50s to around 60. Our skies should feature a mix of sunshine and clouds.
The bigger story for Saturday will be the high fire danger over the area, given the very dry ground surface and breezy conditions throughout the day. Very low relative humidity values will also dominate through the day.
Those low relative humidity values will help prevent a widespread frost Saturday night, even with temps dipping into the mid and upper 30s. I still expect at least patchy areas of frost but I believe we will escape anything widespread.
Temps start to rebound on Sunday and really take off back into the 80s during the middle of next week. Drought conditions will worsen as, after tonight, there is zero precipitation coming over the next 7 days.
