Joyce Juanita Haggins 86, of Shallotte passed on March 23, 2026 at Autumn Care Nursing Facility. She was born on Oct. 9, 1939, the daughter of the late Ms. Frances Hewett.
She is survived by her three children: son Leon Caison (Brenda) of Wilmington; daughter Joyce Locklear (James Skaggs) of Oak Island; and daughter Marie Pate of Laurinburg, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her mother, brothers Samuel Haggins and William Haggins, daughters Linda Stone and Bonnie Stone and granddaughter Sheila Marie Yates.
Her funeral service was held Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Peacock Funeral Home in Whiteville by Rev. Ronnie Wilson. The family received friends following her service.
