RED SPRINGS—South Columbus defeated Red Springs 13-9 in baseball on Wednesday night. The win moves the Stallions to 3-1 in the Southeastern Conference and 7-5 on the year. They will host Cape Fear (10-3) on Saturday. Red Springs fell to 0-4 in the conference and 6-6 on the season. Jacob Lowery had 3 hits and four RBI’s in the loss for the Devils. Red Springs will travel to St. Pauls (7-5) on March 4.

WHITEVILLE—Wyatt Torelli hit two doubles to drive in three runs to lead Whiteville past South Brunswick 9-2 in Baseball on Wednesday night. The win moves the Pack into first place in the Southeastern Conference at 4-0 and 9-3 on the season. The Wolfpack will travel to Ayden-Grifton (12-1) on Monday. South Brunswick (2-2, 7-5) will host Davie County (9-5) on Monday.

ELIZABETHTOWN—East Columbus downed East Bladen 9-2 in baseball on Tuesday night. Khari Bowen had three hits and three RBI’s while Gauge Simmons pitched a complete game, giving up two rums and striking out eight. The Gators go to 5-2 in the Carolina Conference and 8-4 on the season. They will travel to Lumberton (3-8) on Saturday. The Eagles (4-2, 6-6) will face Central Davidson (8-3) at West Brunswick on Monday.

FAIRMONT—Freshman Brylyn Ransom had two hits and three RBI’s to lead the Tornadoes past West Bladen 7-4 in baseball on Wednesday night. The win puts Fairmont at 2-2 in the conference and 5-8 overall. Fairmont will host Scotland (5-8) on Saturday. West Bladen (1-3, 8-6) got two hits, a homerun, and two runs batted in from Wes Hilburn in the loss. The Knights will take on Overhills (4-7) in Fayetteville on Saturday.
