WEST BLADEN 5, CAPE FEAR 4
FAYETTEVILLE—Chase Bryan hit a game winning RBI in the seventh inning to push West Bladen past Cape Fear 5-4 in the championship game of the Randy Ledford Memorial Easter Tournament held at South View High School.
Jerod Smith of the Knights was named Tournament MVP. With the win, West Bladen is now 11-6 on the season. They will get back into Southeastern Conference play on April 14 when they will face Red Springs (0-4, 6-8). Cape Fear, now 6-0 in the Tri-County Conference and 12-4 overall, will face Terry Sanford (6-0, 12-4) in a key conference matchup on April 14.

PEMBROKE—East Columbus pounded out 16 runs to crush Heide Trask 16-6 in the Robeson County Baseball Slugfest Tournament on Tuesday.
The Gators finished fifth in the tournament. Kamden Coker led the attack with two hits and six runs batted in for East Columbus. Eli Walker scored four runs for the Gators. Gauge Simmons made the All-Tournament team with his no-hit pitching performance against Fairmont on Monday. East Columbus (5-2,10-5) gets back into Carolina Conference play on April 16 when they will host West Columbus (4-3, 7-7).
Heide Trask falls to 6-7 on the season. They will travel to Southwest Onslow on April 14.

SHALOTTE—Unbeaten West Stanley overcame an early deficit to defeat East Bladen 5-3 in the Beach Diamond Baseball Invitational on Tuesday at West Brunswick High School.
East Bladen lead 3-1 in the third but could not manage anymore offence to hold the lead. Jayce Hatcher had a two-run homer to lead the East Bladen offence. The Eagles (7-7) will play host West Brunswick (8-8) today (April 8). West Stanley (16-0) will face Richmond County (12-3) in the Championship game on Wednesday.

HOBBTON 9, WEST COLUMBUS 1
BURGAW—Caden Martin pitched a three-hit complete game to lead Hobbton past West Columbus 9-1 in the Jimmy Raynor Easter Tournament at Pender High School.
The Vikings lost to Pender 4-3 in the first round of the tournament on Monday. West Columbus will face Harrell’s Christian Academy (8-5) today. The Wildcats (10-3) will take on Clinton (8-5) today. Both games will take place at Pender High School in Burgaw.

In other scores, South Columbus beat Overhills 14-2 in the consolation bracket of the Randy Ledford Memorial Tournament in Fayetteville. The Stallions are now 9-6 on the year. Whiteville fell to First Colonial (Va) 6-3 in the Pitt County Classic at Snow Hill. Whiteville is now 9-6 for the season.
